What’s Open, Closed For New Year’s Day 2026 In Bradenton

Here are some closures and schedule changes for some Bradenton government facilities and services on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

BRADENTON, FL — With many Bradenton residents celebrating New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services over the holiday.

Bradenton City Hall and Administrative Offices: Closed Thursday.

Bradenton Solid Waste and Recycling Collection: Thursday’s collection will take place on Friday and Friday’s pick-up will take place on Saturday. Offices closed Thursday and Friday.

Christmas Tree Collection: Starting Monday, Bradenton residents may place live Christmas trees at the curb for collection with their regular yard waste.

Rossi Park Parking Lot: Closed Wednesday at 6 a.m. in preparation for the New Year’s Eve event. Downtown parking is available.

Manatee County Libraries: All branches will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and will be closed Thursday.

Manatee County Public Parks, Preserves and Beaches: Open Wednesday and Thursday.

Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses: Open on Wednesday and Thursday,

G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Will close Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and will remain closed Thursday. Lap swim hours are available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and family swim hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

John Marble Recreation Center: Will close Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and will remain closed Thursday.

Lincoln Aquatic Center: Lap swim hours are from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and family swim hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Aquatic facilities are closed on Thursday.

School District of Manatee County: Schools closed through Friday, which is a teacher work day. Monday is also an in-service day for staff. Students return to the classroom on Tuesday.

Manatee County Area Transit: There will be no fixed route or Handy Bus service on Thursday.
