A Thursday morning search of a Bradenton home turned up drugs, ammunition and weapons.

BRADENTON, FL — A month-long investigation of possibly drug activity at a Bradenton home ended Thursday with the arrest of two people.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, a detective involved in the investigation had conducted narcotics transactions at a home in the 1200 block of 62nd Avenue Est on several occasions over the past month. Those transactions enabled the agency to get a search warrant for the home.

The warrant was served around 10:45 a.m. Dec. 1. Once inside the home, detectives found 12.7 grams of Xanax, 152.3 grams of marijuana, two AK-47-style assault rifles, a .45 caliber handgun and two 9mm handguns. Detectives also recovered about 200 rounds of ammunition, an email from the agency said. Further investigation revealed one of the 9mm handguns had been reported as stolen.
