2 Injured in Sarasota Robbery
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Sunday robbery that took a violent turn.

SARASOTA, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday morning robbery that resulted in a shooting.
According to the agency, a home in the 1700 block of 76th Avenue Drive East was broken into around 2 a.m. Oct. 30. Deputies say two men entered the home and began making the demands.
During the course of the robbery, Charles J. Long, 32, was shot and John N. Canter, 54, was struck in the head. The suspects took several items from the home and then left.

Canter and Long were both hospitalized following the incident. Deputies say they are in stable condition.
