Abandoned 7-Week-Old Puppies Found In Box Near FL Walmart: Sheriff

BRADENTON, FL — Two 7-week-old puppies were abandoned Friday in a sealed box on the sidewalk near a Bradenton Walmart, Manatee County Animal Welfare shared in a Facebook post.

The dogs were “left to fend for themselves” outside the store near State Road 70 and U.S. 301, the agency said.

The “innocent pups” tested positive for canine parvovirus and had temperatures of 106 degrees, which are dangerous for them.

“Their lives were hanging by a thread, but thanks to a caring individual who brought them to us, we were able to rush them to an emergency partner for immediate medical attention,” MCAW wrote.
