Bradenton Burger King Bandit Sought By Deputies

The search is on for a person accused of holding up a Bradenton Burger King at gunpoint Friday morning.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a person accused of holding up a Bradenton Burger King at gunpoint early Friday morning. The same person may be responsible for another Friday morning robbery, as well.

According to the agency, a person armed with a handgun went into the 2319 Cortez Road restaurant around 6:44 a.m. Aug. 11. The person demanded cash from employees.

“The manager complied and stuffed an undisclosed amount of cash into a bag,” an email from the sheriff’s office said. After getting the bag, the man took off.

The suspect is described as standing 6 feet in height. The person was wearing a black hoodie, white mask, black work pants, black shoes and black gloves.

Detectives believe the same person may be responsible for robbing a Circle K around 5:30 a.m. Friday, as well.
