Bradenton Laundromat Owner Robbed at Gunpoint

The woman had $200 in cash, two iPhone 5s, and an 18-karat gold bracelet inside her Coach purse, she told the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The owner of a Bradenton laundromat was robbed at gunpoint Friday morning while she was leaving her business, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 10 a.m. at Coin Laundry, 669 Cortez Rd. The 57-year-old woman was walking out the back door of the business with her purse in her hand when two men approached her and grabbed her by the arms, according to the report.

One of them held a handgun to her stomach and demanded her purse, the report stated. She told authorities she gave it to them, and they fled the area in a white, four-door sedan, which was parked nearby.

While the woman was uninjured, she said she had $200 in cash, two iPhone 5s, and an 18-karat gold bracelet inside her Coach purse.
