Bradenton Man, 20, Found Dead In Car

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the suspicious death of a 20-year-old Bradenton man whose body was found early Tuesday morning.

According to the agency, Cory Iwanski was last seen by his mother on Saturday, Aug. 26. Iwanski’s mother called the sheriff’s office on Monday to report her son missing.

Deputies say they found Iwanski’s body in a car parked behind a plaza in the 3100 block of 53rd Avenue East just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

“There is trauma to the body and foul play is suspected,” an email from the sheriff’s office said.

An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death. Further information is not being released at this time.
