Bradenton Teen Dies After Shooting

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting death of an 18-ear-old girl.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Sunday afternoon death of an 18-year-old girl in the Bradenton area.

According to the agency, deputies received a call about a possible shooting in the area of the 3300 block of 4th Street East around 4:35 p.m. Nov. 6. As deputies were responding, the Bradenton Police Department informed them that Mariah Goode, 18, had been brought to Manatee Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds.

“A potential witness had driven Goode to the hospital in her vehicle,” an email from the sheriff’s office said. Goode was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Detectives do not believe the shooting was random.
