Dogs Rescued From Bradenton Home Will Be At Adoption Event: Police
Some of the dogs rescued from "deplorable living conditions" over the weekend will be available for adoption at Adopt-A-Palooza on May 21.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — The 14 dogs and two birds rescued from “deplorable living conditions” at a Bradenton home early Sunday morning “are doing well” in the care of Manatee County Animal Services, Bradenton police said.
Officers found the animals at a home in the 1800 block of 13th Street West when responding to a verbal domestic incident.
The crated dogs were stacked on top of each other and sitting in their own feces and urine. They also didn’t have access to water and there was no air conditioning in the home, extreme clutter, piles of garbage and visible insects, police said.

Manatee County residents are required to license their new pet for an additional $20 tag fee. All pets will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
The event will also feature more than 30 retail vendors selling a variety of products and services, as well as a free pet vaccine and microchip clinic.
