Escape Bradenton Announces Opening Date

Bradenton's first escape room attraction is set to open in early November.

BRADENTON, FL — Bradenton area residents who love puzzles and are good at solving them under pressure might want to jot a date down on their calendars. Escape Bradenton is set to make its debut on Friday, Nov. 11.

The grand opening of the 465 Cortez Road business marks a first for Bradenton. Live interactive escape game attractions have been popular in Asia and Europe since 2007. Similar venues began popping up across America over the past few years, but Bradenton has yet to get its own.

That changes at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, according to the folks behind Escape Bradenton. The attraction is a live-action venue where patrons are challenged to use their noggins to find their way out of locked decorated and themed rooms. In order to do so, those locked in will need to solve a series of puzzles and search for clues to get out within a set time frame.

“Our rooms are a lot like video games or movies come to life,” Kyle Tims, one of three partners at Escape Bradenton, said in a statement. “They are filled with gadgets, puzzles, and 2nd generation escape game technology and tailored for groups of 4-8 players, and especially well-suited for companies looking for Team Building exercises.”

The attraction will open with three themed rooms, but plans to have five by the end of the year. The rooms ready for the debut are:

  • Crucifixus – This room was “inspired by the sickest minds in history,” according to a media release.
  • Blitzkrieg – This World War II-themed room requires players to infiltrate a vault, navigate a booby-trapped bunker and pull off the “greatest heist in history.”
  • Inheritance – The adventure in this room begins with a mysterious letter from a missing archaeology professor that puts players on a “path of mythic proportions.”

“We loved the area and saw a need for more entertainment options,” said Bryan Uzbay, one of three partners at Escape Bradenton. “We all hail from New Jersey and moved here specifically to open this business together. We think there is a great fit for Escape Bradenton in the Bradenton and Sarasota communities.”

Tickets are $30 per person, but a grand opening discount is being offered. Use the coupon code EBGRAND10 when booking.

The new attraction will be open Monday through Thursdays from 3 until 11 p.m. It will also be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. To find out more, visit EscapeBradenton.com.
