Fake Bail Bondman Bilked Woman Out of Thousands: Deputies

A 46-year-old man faces criminal charges after Manatee County deputies say he bilked a woman out of more than $3,000.

BRADENTON, FL — A 46-year-old Manatee County man is behind bars for the second time this month on charges of impersonating a bail bondsman.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson Juerakhan represented himself as a bondsman to a 52-year-old woman. The woman, in turn, provided Juerakhan $3,250 to bail her son out of jail, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

There was one problem though: Juerakhan is not an appointed bondsman, the sheriff’s office said.
