"Even though we had a lot of new tests at higher levels last week, we actually had fewer positive tests with our long-term care facilities than we had," Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said in Orlando on Tuesday."Really, most of it is community transmission, particularly among the 20- and 30-year-old group."
Dr. George Ralls of Orlando Regional Medical Center and Orlando Health, told the governor the greatest threat to Floridians comes from social gatherings and not businesses.

"You can maintain a safe environment and open a business," the doctor said. "Where we’re letting our guard down are the pool parties, or the social gatherings, or the places where we are not thinking about transmission, where we are not wearing a mask, where we are not thinking about social distancing.”
Seventeen Florida counties reported 65 new deaths Tuesday. That compares with 12 deaths Monday, 17 deaths Sunday, 40 deaths on Saturday, 43 new deaths Friday, 43 new deaths Thursday, 25 new deaths Wednesday and 55 new deaths last Tuesday.
