LRHS Athletic Director Kent Ringquist said, “Athletics are an important part of LRHS. The most important part is student-athletes performing well and being recognized for their academic success.
“Being recognized as All Team State Champion is a great achievement for the athletes and a great achievement for the staff. Usually, our sports are in the top ten of all schools, which is a great accomplishment.”
According to the FHSAA, each classification winner receives a commemorative plaque. For overall classification scoring, the top 10 schools in each class will receive points. Ten points will be awarded for a first-place finish, nine points for second, etc. The school in each class with the highest cumulative point total for the entire school year will get a special award. Points awarded for teams in single-class sports will still count toward the overall standings.
