Manatee County Schools: Upcoming Dates You Need to Know About

BRADENTON, FL — The clocks have changed, the election’s over and the holidays are fast approaching. With Manatee County school kids preparing for more than a few upcoming days off, Patch wanted to help parents keep up.

Here’s a look at some important upcoming dates Manatee County parents need to know about as 2016 races to a close and 2017 arrives:

• Veterans Day – Nov. 11 is a day off for Manatee County school kids.
• Thanksgiving break – District schools are out of session Nov. 21-25. Kids return to class Nov. 28.
• Hurricane Makeup Day – Dec. 7 is a full day of school for kids.
• Winter break – Students are off for winter break from Dec. 23 through Jan. 4. They don’t back to school until Jan. 9 though. Jan. 5 is record day and Jan. 6 is a teacher in-service day.
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Jan. 16 is a day off for school kids.
