Manatee County Veterans Services To Host Seminar Series
The four classes will be held in conjunction with National County Government Month and in honor of Manatee's veterans.

BRADENTON, FL – In an effort to support its veterans and provide information about services for them, Manatee County will host a series of lectures during April.
In celebration of National County Government Month and in honor of veterans, Manatee County will host the 2017 Veteran Services Seminar Series each Friday in April. These free seminars will be hosted at the Manatee County Administration Building, 1112 Manatee Ave. W. on the third floor in Conference Room A.
The schedule for the 2017 Veterans Services Seminar Series is:

- Friday, April 7, 9 to 11 a.m.: Service Connected Disability and Vietnam Service. This session will cover Service Connected Disabilities and what documentation is required by the Veterans Administration before a disability is determined to be Service Connected. Benefits related to Agent Orange will be discussed.
- Friday, April 14, 9 to 11 a.m.: Veteran and Surviving Spousal Pensions. This session will cover the benefit and entitlement requirements necessary to obtain either a Non-Service Connected or Survivor pensions, Aid and Attendance and award amount.
- Friday, April 21, 9 to 11 a.m.: Health Care and Burial Benefits. This session will cover topics regarding the VA Health Care System and the healthcare benefits available to qualifying veterans. Sarasota National Cemetery and burial benefits will also be discussed.
- Friday, April 28, 9 to 11 a.m.: Open Forum. This session will cover the GI Bill for Post-Sept. 11 veterans as well as other education benefits and VA home loans. There will also be a Q&A session.
Coffee and snacks will be provided starting at 8:30 a.m. before each session.
