New Homes For 11 Dogs Rescued From ‘Deplorable’ Conditions: Police
The pups were among dozens of shelter pets who found new homes at Manatee County's Adopt-A-Palooza Saturday, Bradenton police said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Dogs that were rescued from “deplorable living conditions” at a Bradenton home earlier this month have found new homes, Bradenton police shared on Facebook.
At Manatee County’s Adopt-A-Palooza event Saturday, 11 of the 14 dogs that were surrendered after officers found the animals May 7 at a home in the 1800 block of 13th Street West when responding to a verbal domestic incident were adopted.
“We're thrilled that the adoptable pups officers found during a recent investigation, as well as dozens of other shelter pets, went home with fur-ever families,” police wrote.

The dogs were among “67 furry friends going to their fur-ever homes,” Manatee County Animal Services shared to its Facebook page.
Officers found the crated dogs were stacked on top of each other and sitting in their own feces and urine. They also didn't have access to water and there was no air conditioning in the home, extreme clutter, piles of garbage and visible insects, police said.

Two cockatiels were also taken from the home and will be brought to a bird-rescue organization in the area. They will be available for future adoption, police said.
The homeowners, who also owned the pets, surrendered them to Animal Services.
The dogs ranged in age from 6 months to 12 years old, police said. Some of them were treated for intestinal parasites and fleas, and the Animal Services' staff worked to socialize some of them as well.
