Sandbags Available In Bradenton Area As Tropical System Approaches FL
Sites throughout Manatee County are offering sandbags to residents ahead of a tropical system expected to hit Florida this weekend.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — With a tropical system approaching Florida’s west coast this weekend, sites throughout Manatee County are offering sandbags to residents.
The city of Bradenton opened a sandbag distribution site at the Public Works Annex, 1411 9th Street W., on Friday, noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Each car will be limited to 10 bags and a valid city ID is required.

Manatee County Public Works crews opened the following self-serve sandbag locations Friday at noon:

- Coquina Beach, near the bus loop, 1507 S. Gulf Drive, Bradenton Beach
- Lincoln Park, 501 17th Street E., Palmetto
- 4410 66th Street. W., Bradenton, south of the former Manatee County Utilities headquarters
- Rubonia Community Center, 1309 72nd Street E., Palmetto
- Myakka City Community Center, 10060 Wauchula Road, Myakka City
