Dawn started in elementary teaching all subjects, but currently is teaching Algebra.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Students achieve success with her as their teacher. Last year, her algebra students passed with a 98.33; meaning only one student failed to pass. That student missed passing by one question, and passed in the summer administration of the test. Her consistent passing scores not only elevates the school’s math department, but lifts the school’s “grade” assigned by the county.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Dawn truly cares for the students, and they know it. Students who have Dawn for a teacher gain an appreciation for their own education and learn confidence from their success.
