What’s Closed New Year’s Day 2023 In Manatee County?

Here are some closures and schedule changes for Bradenton-area government offices, facilities and services for New Year's Day.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — As Manatee County residents prepare to celebrate New Year’s Eve, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services to keep in mind this holiday weekend.

Manatee County government offices: All offices are closed Monday.

Garbage and recycling: There will be no garbage, yard waste and recycling pick-up Monday for residents of unincorporated Manatee County. These items will be collected one day later than your scheduled pickup day for the rest of the week. Regular collection resumes Jan. 8.

Lena Road Landfill: Closed Monday.

Manatee County Area Transit: There will be no fixed route, Handy Bus or Longboat Key Shuttle service on Monday. The Anna Maria Trolley will run regular service.

G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Closed Monday.

Manatee County Public Schools: Schools are closed for winter break through Jan. 10.

Manatee County Public Libraries: Closed Monday.

Manatee County Animal Welfare: All operations will be closed to the public Monday.

Manatee County Parks, Preserves and Beaches: Open to the public Monday.

Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses: Open Monday.

Manatee County Clerk’s Office: Closed Monday.

Bradenton City Hall and other city offices: Closed Monday.

City of Bradenton trash collection: There will be no garbage pickup Monday. Monday’s pickup will be on Tuesday and Tuesday’s pickup will be Wednesday.
