What’s Open, Closed On Thanksgiving 2024 In Bradenton

Here are some closures and schedule changes for Manatee County government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — With Bradenton-area residents celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.

Manatee County Government Offices: All offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Manatee County Garbage Collection: Garbage, yard waste and recycling in unincorporated areas are postponed one day on Thursday. The regular schedule resumes Monday.

Manatee County Area Transit: Fixed route and Handy Bus services will not be available on Thursday. Services will resume Friday.

Manatee County Libraries: All library branches are closed Thursday and Friday. They will reopen Saturday at 9 a.m.

Manatee County Parks and Natural Preserves: Open to the public. The Manatee Public Beach on Anna Maria Island and portions of Coquina Beach are also open. Other Manatee County beaches will open as conditions permit.

G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Closed Thursday and Friday. The center will reopen Saturday during normal hours.

Manatee County Aquatic Facilities: The facilities at G.T. Bray Recreation Center and Lincoln Park are closed Thursday.

Manatee County Golf Course and Buffalo Creek Golf Course: Closed Thursday, reopening Friday during normal hours.

Florida Department of Health in Manatee County: Closed Thursday and Friday.

Manatee County Public Schools: Schools will be closed through Friday.

City of Bradenton Government Offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.

City of Bradenton Garbage Collection: Residential solid waste collection will be delayed by one day. Thursday’s pick-up will move to Friday and Friday’s collection will move to Saturday.
