$1 Million Lottery Prize Claimed By Brandon Woman

A 65-year-old Brandon woman claimed a $1 million scratch-off prize from the Florida Lottery.

BRANDON, FL — A 65-year-old Brandon woman is $745,000 richer after playing one of the Florida Lottery’s scratch-off games.

According to the lottery, Deborah Harvey bought a $5,000,000 Gold Rush Doubler scratch-off ticket at the Publix on Lithia Pinecrest Road. When that $20 ticket was scratched off, she found herself the winner of a $1 million prize.

After heading to Tallahassee to claim her winnings, Harvey opted to receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of $745,000, the lottery reported.

The $5,000,000 Gold Rush Doubler has six top prizes of $5 million, 30 of $1 million and more than $752 million in total cash prizes, according to the lottery. All told, there are about 16.8 million winning tickets.
