2 Dogs Rescued From Burning Home In Valrico

The dispatch center received 911 calls reporting smoke coming from the house. Firefighters found two dogs home alone and rescued them.

VALRICO, FL —Hillsborough County Fire Rescue saved two dogs from a burning home on Meredith Drive in Valrico last Tuesday morning.

The dispatch center received 911 calls around 11:05 a.m. from multiple callers reporting smoke coming from the eaves of the house.

Firefighters arrived and found an air-conditioner on fire.

Firefighters were able to control the blaze in seven minutes, preventing it from spreading throughout the attic. Additional crews searched the home and found two dogs inside. There were no other occupants.
