2017 Plant City 4th Of July Celebration: What To Know Before You Go

This is the 12th year Plant City will host its July 4th Celebration.

PLANT CITY, FL – Once again, Plant City’s Recreation & Parks Department will turn Plant City Stadium into a celebration of America.

The Plant City July 4th Celebration will return once again for the 12th time in eastern Hillsborough County. The event features a full evening of entertainment and fireworks.

Date and Time

The 2017 Plant City July 4th Celebration is set to take place Tuesday, July 4 at 6 p.m. The rainout date is Wednesday, July 5 at 8 p.m. with only fireworks at 9 p.m. taking place.

Location

The event is being held at Plant City Stadium, 1810 E. Park Road. Parking lots open at 5:45 p.m.

Parking

  • No parking along Park Road from Redman Parkway/State Road 39 east to Roberts Ranch Road
  • No parking along Park Road from Alsobrook Street/Coronet Road south to Jim Johnson Road
  • No parking along Jim Johnson Road from Alexander Street north to Park Road
  • No parking along Roberts Ranch Road from Park Road/Jim Johnson Road east to Coronet Road
  • No parking along Gordon Food Service Drive west from Park Road to the dead end

Traffic along these roads will be outbound only from the stadium once the fireworks begin and until the stadium parking lots are empty

Admission

Admission to the Plant City July 4th Celebration is free. Stadium parking is $5 per car.

50-50 Drawing

Proceeds from the 50-50 drawing during the event will go the City of Plant City toward offsetting the cost of the event.

Schedule

The schedule of events for this year’s celebration is:

  • 5:45 p.m.: Parking lots open
  • 6 p.m.: Stadium gates open
  • 6 p.m.: Concessions open
  • 6 p.m.: Field activities open
  • 6 p.m.: Stage entertainment starts
  • 8:45 p.m.: Concessions and field activities close
  • 9 p.m.: Military Salute and National Anthem
  • 9:15 p.m.: Fireworks start (time approximate)

Activities

The following activities will take place in the outfield grass in Plant City Stadium:

  • Face painting
  • Corn hole
  • Balloon art
  • Inflatables
  • Rock wall
  • Bungee jumper

Entertainment

The following acts are scheduled to perform throughout the 2017 Plant City July 4th Celebration:

  • Daniel Sprouse Band
  • Double Barrel Band

Fireworks

The Zambelli Fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m., or after the announcements.

Restrictions

The following restrictions will be in place for the event:

On City property

  • No alcoholic beverages on the property
  • No loitering outside or in the parking lot

Inside the stadium

  • No coolers
  • No outside food or drink
  • No smoking in the stands, concourse or restroom areas
  • No fireworks or sparklers
  • No boom boxes
  • No pets
