1. The annual race for each year collects thousands of dollars for charity and reminds Brandonites of its strong collection of good-minded charities.

Helen Mulrennan Young, 89, a regular attendee of the weekly meetings of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon, who reminds Brandonites that age has no boundaries as she continues to stay active in community affairs. Mulrennan Middle School is named for her family and sits on what used to be the family's land.
3. The , which exemplifies the town's reverance of its history, bringing together once a year at a potluck luncheon people and families with deep ties to the area.
4. The Emergency Care Help Organzation (ECHO) food bank and clothes closet, founded by Brandonites to help meet the needs of their neighbors who fall on hard times in emergency situations.
5. The Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association, which maintains its focus on providing arts opportunities for people of all ages while providing as well an intimate meeting space for personal and community events.
6. The shop at Center Place, which keeps in our minds the legacy of Patricia B. Odiorne, for whom a scholarship is named as well. Odiorne was a strong advocate of Center Place in its early years. The shop is run by volunteers and stocked with gift items chosen with care.
