Bicyclist Killed in Brandon Crash
Breaking: The fatal accident happened Saturday evening along State Road 60 near Knights Avenue.

BRANDON, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Saturday night crash that left a bicyclist dead.
According to the agency, Hung Nguyen, 40, of Valrico was traveling east in the center lane of State Road 60, west of Knights Avenue, around 8 p.m. in a Toyota Tundra. At that time, a bicyclist attempted to cross State Road 60 from the south shoulder.
The man on the bike, a highway patrol report said, entered Nguyen’s path and was hit.

The bicyclist was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital, but later died from his injuries.
Troopers say no charges have been filed yet, pending the outcome of the investigation. The bicyclist’s name and age have not yet been released.
