Brandon Shoplifting Duo Sought By Deputies

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office needs help identifying two men accused of stealing items from a Brandon Walgreens.

BRANDON, FL — Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives are hoping the Monday release of video footage showing a pair of accused shoplifters in action may help lead to arrests in a recent case.

According to the agency, the crime in question occurred around 1:15 p.m. March 22 when a man walked into the 128 E. Brandon Blvd. Walgreens and grabbed a shopping basket. As the man pretended to shop, detectives say a second man entered the store.

“The two subjects are seen selecting items and placing them into a white plastic bag,” a March 27 email from the agency said. After the bag was loaded with about $450 worth of merchandise, the sheriff’s office said one of the men distracted the cashier while the other lifted the bag over his head and proceeded to walk out of the store.
