Greater Brandon Area Set To Welcome 2nd Walmart Neighborhood Market

Brandon, Walmart’s got you covered.

Construction is under way for the latest company offering, which means for motorists traveling from East Brandon Boulevard to the Causeway Boulevard, via Lithia Pinecrest Road and Bloomingdale Avenue, there will be a Walmart store every 3 miles along the way.

Well, actually, it will be less than 3 miles (and the upcoming store has a Riverview ZIP code), but why quibble.

In Walmart’s eyes, it’s all local, and it’s all Brandon.

Walmart Construction Under Way

Posted on the construction site across the street from the Winthrop Town Centre, at the southeast corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road, is notice of another Walmart “Brandon” store.

Brandon Store No. 5622, like the recently opened store at 901 Lithia Pinecrest Road, will be a Walmart Neighborhood Market store, at 10863 Bloomingdale Ave. in Riverview.

A Wal-Mart Every 3 Miles Or So

The Lithia Pinecrest store, which shares space in a strip center shopping center with and the , is 2.16 miles from the Brandon Walmart Supercenter at 1208 East Brandon Blvd. (Note: This Wal-Mart is also known as the Valrico Walmart, with a secondary address of 2000 East State Road 60.)

The store at 901 Lithia Pinecrest Road also is 2.24 miles from Brandon Walmart Store No. 941, in the Publix-anchored shopping center at 949 East Bloomingdale Ave.

The East Bloomingdale Avenue store is 2.62 miles from the upcoming neighborhood center, which in turn is 2.78 miles from the .

Newest Neighborhood Market Store

The upcoming neighborhood market store fills the space vacated by the Albertsons grocery store, across the street from the Winthrop Charter School and north of Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Funeral Home and Crematory.

The existing space is listed as 57,756 square feet.
