Brandon Woman Charged In Dramatic Road Road Incident Caught On Video

Couple caught on video in a rage after minor crash at U.S. 301 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tampa.

PLANT CITY, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a 31-year-old Brandon woman in connection with a road rage incident on Tuesday, April 11.

Just after 5 p.m., two vehicles were involved in a minor crash at U.S. 301 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

A man and a woman got out of one of the vehicles car and began attacking the other driver who was in a 2019 Chevy sedan.

Troopers said the man who was attacking the driver used a gun to try and break the car's window, yelling to the victim to "get out of the car." He then fired one shot at the man.

Passersby caught the road rage incident on video, which was posted to Twitter and Instagram, and shared by the highway patrol.

On Monday night, the Florida Highway Patrol arrested Shaniah Faith Cofield. Troopers are still seeking her accomplice, who troopers have identified as 22-year-old Peter Allen McClarin of Plant City.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the highway patrol at *FHP (*347) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
