Car Crashes into Delaney Creek Lodge
The car crashed into a resident's room but the resident was not injured.

It was a close call for a resident of the Delaney Creek Lodge assisted living facility.
About an hour ago, a 59-year-old woman was traveling north on Lakewood Drive in Brandon near Delaney Creek Lodge at 320 S. Lakewood Dr., Brandon, when she lost control of her car, crossed two lanes of northbound traffic, a median and then two lanes of southbound traffic.
The out-of-control car then veered into the Delaney Creek Lodge parking lot, hit some bushes and then rammed into the lodge itself.

A spokeswoman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said the entire car, except the rear bumper, went all the way into a resident's living quarters.
The resident was in the room at the time but was not injured.

The woman, who has not been named, was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital.
Deputies are continuing the investigation.
