Car Submerges In Retention Pond, Killing Brandon Man
A man was killed near Brandon Parkway after his car went into a pond, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

BRANDON, FL — A 27-year-old Brandon man was killed when a car he drove became submerged in a retention pond near Brandon Parkway Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The victim traveled southbound at 9:38 a.m. on Brandon Parkway near Lumsden Road when the
vehicle left the roadway and collided with a chain fence. The car went through the fence and went into the retention pond where it became fully submerged, investigators said.
Authorities said the victim died at the crash location.
