A Friday afternoon wrong-way crash on State Road 60 has left three people injured.

DOVER, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Friday afternoon wrong-way crash on State Road 60 in the Dover area that left three people with serious injuries.

According to troopers, James Edward Cissell, 75, of Lithia was heading north on Turkey Creek Road in a Dodge Ram around 12:15 p.m. Feb. 10. Cissell turned left onto State Road 60 to travel west, but was in the eastbound lanes, a highway patrol report said.

Cissell ended up going into the median, hitting a sign post and then continuing west in the eastbound lanes. The Dodge then sideswiped three other eastbound vehicles, the report said.
