Critical Injuries In 3-Vehicle I-75 Crash

A Sunday night crash on Interstate 75 left several people injured, including three from the Brandon area.

BRANDON, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Sunday evening crash on Interstate 75 in Manatee County that left three people from the Brandon area in critical condition. Several other people were injured in the three-vehicle collision.

According to the patrol, Steve Boyce, 19, of Brandon was driving a Kia Sportage northbound on I-75 around 7:30 p.m. July 9. As Boyce’s Kia neared mile marker 219, troopers say he “made an improper lane change” and hit a Nissan Frontier driven by Brenda De Amicis Boisvert, 20, of Quartz Hill, California.

Boyce and two of his passengers, Michelle Enriquez, 18, of Riverview, and Austin Keenan, 20, of Brandon suffered critical injuries and were taken to a hospital in Manatee County, a highway patrol report said. Two other people in the Kia suffered minor injuries.
