Deputy-Involved Shooting Reported in Ruskin

RUSKIN, FL — A Tuesday night deputy-involved shooting in the Ruskin area has sent one person to the hospital. Authorities say at least one other person managed to get away, but was later captured.

Details related to the shooting have not yet been released. The sheriff’s office said deputies were not injured in the incident that occurred in the area of State Road 674 near Interstate 75 sometime before 6:45 p.m. Dec. 6.

The condition of the person shot has not been released. Authorities have also not released the person's name. The capture of the second suspect was announced at 7:40 p.m. That person's name has also not been released.
