Electrical Malfunction Cause Of Dover House Fire: Fire Rescue
Investigators say the cause of a fire that broke out in a home in Dover Friday was an electrical malfunction.
DOVER, FL — Investigators say the cause of a fire that broke out in a home in Dover Friday was an electrical malfunction.
On Friday at 9:03 a.m., Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called to a house fire at 4819 Edmund Court in Dover by a caller reporting that a bedroom was on fire.
The first arriving engine, Engine 26, reported smoke coming from the eves and deployed an attack line to begin an interior attack. Other crews assisted with water,conducted searches and helped with firefighting operations.

There was no one inside the house at the time of the fire. Despite the fire spreading into the attic above the bedroom, firefighters contained the blaze to the bedroom.
