Florida Woman Run Over After Parking Dispute
A 27-year-old Gibsonton woman stands accused of trying to kill another woman with her Toyota Corolla.

GIBSONTON, FL — A 27-year-old Gibsonton woman faces attempted second-degree murder charges after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies say she used her Toyota Corolla to end an early Tuesday morning dispute related to parking concerns.
According to the agency, the dispute between Sasha Mendoza and Kristina Blair, 38, began to erupt around 3:40 a.m. July 11 outside a home in the 11300 block of Fish Hook Place. Deputies say Blair left after the parking-related spat, driving a green Isuzu Rodeo.

Mendoza and a passenger also took off after the verbal altercation. Mendoza was driving a silver Toyota Corolla, authorities said. As Blair drove south on Fish Hook Place, deputies say Mendoza followed right behind her.
Blair stopped her Rodeo, got out and began to approach the Corolla, an email from the sheriff’s office said. At that point, a second verbal dispute began.

Mendoza is accused of ending the dispute. She “then drove her vehicle at Kristina Blair and accelerated, purposely running over Kristina Blair,” the email said.
Mendoza took off from the scene, deputies noted. Blair was hospitalized with serious injuries. She was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.
As for Mendoza, deputies say they caught up with her a short time later. She now faces attempted second-degree murder and operating a vehicle without a valid license charges.
