Girls Night Out for Moms and Moms-To-Be To Benefit A Kid's Place

A Kid's Place in Brandon is set to benefit from an Oct. 13 fundraiser for moms and moms-to-be at the Bleu Salon & Spa in Valrico.

 

A day for moms and moms-to-be to pamper themselvs is set for Oct. 13 at the Bleu Salon & Spa in Valrico, with proceeds benefiting A Kid's Place in Brandon, a residential community of homes for abused, neglected or abandoned children on Lithia Pinecrest Road.

Organizers hope to make the occasion, "A Girls' Night Out for Moms and Moms-To-Be," an annual event.

On Saturday, Oct. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m., and for $30 in advance, $35 at the door, the fundraiser includes:

  • Complementary shoulder massage and make-up refresh
  • Cocktails and "Mocktails"
  • A mini-photo session and free 5-by-7 maternity or head shot (limited time slots available)
  • Discussions and demonstrations on topics "to help you look, feel and perform your best"
  • Tastes from local restaurats
  • Belly casts for expectant mothers
  • 50 percent discount on mini-mani's, pedi's, facials, blow-outs and massages (limited time slots available)
  • Scavenger hunt for deep discounts on childrens' toys and clothing
  • Gift bag with samples and discounts valued at more than $500
  • More than $1,000 in door prizes
