Hillsborough County Facilities Close Due To Tropical Storm Eta
Winds and strong rain from Tropical Storm Eta has caused countywide cancellations and closures.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County has postponed the Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled for Thursday because of Tropical Storm Eta.
The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16. Additionally, all County facilities will be closed Thursday.
All coronavirus public testing sites in Hillsborough County also will be closed on Thursday. Due to winds associated with Tropical Storm Eta, all Hillsborough County Solid Waste Facilities will be closed, and all solid waste collections will be suspended on Thursday.

Collection services in certain areas may have been canceled on Wednesday due to high winds and rain. For residents who did experience canceled pickups, services will resume on the next scheduled collection day. Customers are advised in the meantime to store their carts in a secure location protected from high winds.
Hillsborough County is under a state of local emergency because of Tropical Storm Eta.

Hillsborough County's Customer Call Center will be open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
