​Manatee County’s 2017 Wall Calendars Now Available

Birds of Flight features photos from amateur photographers.

From Manatee County Government: This week Manatee County began distributing 30,000 of its popular annual wall calendars. This year’s calendar, themed “Birds of Flight,” features beautiful images of roseate spoonbills, pelicans, herons and aquatic birds that call Manatee County home.

The 12 photos were selected from among hundreds submitted as part of the Parks and Natural Resources annual photography contest that challenged local photographers to submit pictures of landscapes, wildlife and people enjoying Manatee County’s natural preserves.

People may pick up a calendar at the following locations:

  • Manatee County Administration Building
  • Manatee’s six public libraries
  • City halls and offices of Manatee County Constitutional Officers (i.e., Manatee Sheriff’s Office and the Tax Collector’s Office)
  • G.T. Bray Recreation Center
  • Manatee County Public Works and Utilities buildings

The calendars will be available at Manatee County’s booth at the County Fair from Jan. 12-22, 2017.
