Math for Kids at Westfield Mall Set for May 12
The annual "Math at the Mall" event presented by Hillsborough County educators and Westfield Brandon and Citrus Park representatives is scheduled for May 12. Kids in kindergarten through grade 5 use their math skills in a real-world setting.

Using math in the real world will be a real thing for kids at on May 12, at the annual "Math at the Mall" event presented in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Elementary Math Council.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., students in kindergarten through grade 5 will take a “mathematical journey” through the mall, collecting data and applying problem-solving skills.

Stations throughout the mall will give students a chance to test their estimation skills. Several elementary schools will host a hands-on activity table where students can use their problem solving skills to complete a mathematical activity.
The event convenes at Westfield Brandon, 459 Brandon Town Center, in the courtyard area outside court.

The event is also set to take place at Westfield Citrus Park, 8021 Citrus Park Town Center, in the courtyard area outside Macy’s.
