National Parks & Recreation Month Activities At Local Parks

BRANDON, FL — Seven local parks are participating in National Parks & Recreation Month, and offering park activities that can win participants prizes.

Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation wants residents to enjoy all the amenities at each park. Take a walk along the beautiful trails, work out at an exercise station and take the children for fun at the playgrounds and splash pads.

Eight stations, each with a unique activity, are located throughout each park, and residents are encouraged to share photos of themselves completing the activity. The more activities you complete, the more opportunities you get to win prizes.

The participating parks are:

• Carrollwood Village
• Jackson Springs
• Brandon
• Apollo Beach
• Roy Haynes
• Ruskin
• All People's Life Center

Residents are also invited to continue the National Parks & Recreation month celebration during Parks' Party in the Park events at Carrollwood Village on July 17, and Apollo Beach on July 24.
