Oktoberfest Brings 'Taptoberfest' to The Brass Tap at Westfield Brandon
Cornhole tournaments, liter-hoisting competitions, team boot-chugging contests and lives bands are on tap for The Brass Tap at Westfield Brandon, at the craft beer and wine bar's second annual "Taptoberfest."

Oktoberfest events in Brandon include the two-night, second annual "Taptoberfest" at The Brass Tap at Westfield Brandon, where scheduled events include Oktoberfest brews, live bands, classic games and liter-sized das boot glasses.
The craft beer and wine bar, founded by Jeff Martin, invites locals to "prost" their glasses Oct. 12 and 13, from noon to 2 a.m. Also scheduled are cornhole tournaments, liter-hoisting competitions, team boot-chugging contests "and plenty of Warsteiner, an iconic beer brewed in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany," according to an event news release.

“You don’t need a lederhosen to celebrate Taptoberfest, although our waitresses will certainly be wearing them,” Martin said in the release. “Taptoberfest is all about pairing friends, fun and the best beers that the season has to offer and we can’t wait to share a memorable weekend with Brandon enthusiasts.”
Purchase a Warsteiner brew in a festive glass boot and keep the glass as a souvenier. The cost is $25 to fill the glass and $8 to pour a refill.

There is no cover charge to attend Taptoberfest in the Restaurant Courtyard at Westfield Brandon. The Brass Tap is at 775 Brandon Town Center.
