Boblitt was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.

Boblitt was convicted in Hillsborough County, in 1996, of sexual battery on a minor younger than 12, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

"We are very strict on these cases," said Detective Larry McKinnon of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. "We need to know where these people are living and what they are doing, so he can't move into a neighborhood without the people there knowing who he is."
