Seffner Fatal Stabbing Victim Identified

Mikki Strader, 34, died at University Community Hospital after he was stabbed outside his home in Seffner, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Cesar Rodriguez faces a charge of second-degree murder.

The man fatally stabbed July 10 in Seffner has been identified as Mikki Strader, 34, of 9102 Williams Road.

Charged with second-degree murder in the case is Cesar A. Rodriguez, 59, of 9120 Williams Road, #30-A.

He reportedly told deputies he stabbed Strader "because [Strader] kept calling [Rodriguez] a punk."

The fatal stabbing occurred at 9102 Williams Road, at approximately 9:10 p.m. on July 10.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, words were exchanged and Rodriguez followed Strader outside the home with a 5-inch kitchen knife in hand.

"Just outside the front door of the trailer, the suspect stated something to the victim and then stabbed the victim one time on the left side of his neck [and] shoulder area with a 5-inch steak knife," according to the report.

Strader reportedly then "staggered a couple yards away and collapsed."

He died after being transported to University Community Hospital.

Rodriguez was arrested at his home, wihtout incident, and charged with second-degree murder.
