Seffner Man Killed in Polk County Motorcycle Crash

Breaking: A 70-year-old man was killed Thursday when his motorcycle collided with a disabled vehicle.

SEFFNER, FL — A 70-year-old Seffner man is dead following a crash along County Line Road in Polk County Thursday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Paul James Guillet was riding a motorcycle on County Line Road around 2:22 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Just north of Ewell Road, Guillet encountered a disabled vehicle with its hazard lights on in the southbound lane. The vehicle, driven by Marissa Carbone, 22, of Lakeland had a flat tire, a highway patrol report said.

Guillet’s motorcycle struck Carbone’s vehicle, ejecting Guillet from the bike, the report said. Guillet died at the scene, the report said.

The crash remains under investigation with charges pending the outcome. No further information is available at this time.
