Portion Of State Road 60 Named After Fallen Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Sergeant
The 2021 Legislature of Florida has designated a portion of a Hillsborough County Road as "Sergeant Brian Lavigne Road" following his death.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — In honor of a fallen Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office sergeant who lost his life Jan. 11, the 2021 Legislature of Florida dedicated a portion of State Road 60 Monday morning after him.
State Road 60 from Philip Lee Boulevard to Interstate-75 has been designated as “Sergeant Brian LaVigne Road”.
Lavigne was killed in the line of duty after a suspect intentionally rammed his car into the sergeant's patrol car on Lumsden Road in Brandon following a police chase Lavigne ended assisted with. He was one shift away from retirement with the sheriff's office.

"This morning we celebrated Sergeant Brian LaVigne and commemorated his sacrifice to our community with the unveiling of a roadway designation in his honor," Sheriff Chad Chronister tweeted. "Never forgotten!"
