1 Arrested, 1 Evading Deputies Following Mall Parking Lot Shooting: Hillsborough Sheriff
The search for a suspect involved in a weapon transaction with an undercover deputy Monday evening continues into Tuesday.

BRANDON, FL — Update: The search for a second suspect involved in a robbery of an undercover deputy at the Westfield Mall Monday evening continues, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The deputies did not return fire as one of the suspects is accused of shooting multiple times at deputies as he got away, the sheriff's office said.
No deputies or residents were hit by the bullets or experienced injuries, the HCSO public information officers said.

One suspect who is accused of shooting at deputies in the Brandon Westfield Mall parking lot Monday evening has been arrested. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrested Jordan Garcia, 19, on charges of armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm and dealing in stolen property.
No description of the second suspect has been released. The Brandon Mall has closed and deputies are searching for the other person.
No one was injured during the shooting, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office has not said if any of its officers fired shots.
A deputy wanted to make fewer guns available on the street so they arranged a meetup with the suspects outside Macy's, the sheriff's office said.
One of the suspects pulled a weapon on the deputy during the transaction and tried to rob the undercover deputy, the sheriff's office said.
Backup deputies then moved in to protect the undercover deputy, the sheriff's office said.
The suspects ran when they saw the deputies getting closer, the sheriff's office said.
Shots were fired toward the deputies as the suspects ran off, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies stopped one of the suspects, Jordan Garcia, but the other one got away.
