St. Puppy’s Day Parade at O’Brien’s Irish Pub in Brandon
The annual St. Puppy's Day Parade at O'Brien's in Brandon draws dogs of all sizes and breeds in a contest of cuteness and showmanship.
The Fifth Annual St. Puppy’s Day Parade at O’Brien’s Irish Pub in Brandon brought out the “All Pooh-chinos” in a “Dog Day Afternoon” of festive colors and posturing.
Green was in as dogs of all sizes and shapes and breeds took center stage on the makeshift stage in the outdoor fenced-in arena at the corner of Lumsden Road and Kings Avenue.
“I’m an animal lover myself,” said Sean Rice, proprietor of O’Brien’s, as for his reasons for starting the annual parade. “It also gives the local community the chance to come out and support” the various dog rescue associations.
