Super Bowl Sunday: Local Spots To Watch, Party and Cheer

Coming off its one-year celebration as the newly reopened Tadpoles, the sports bar and restaurant with a a rich Brandon history is offering reserved seating for bar and center bar on Super Bowl Sunday. , at 926 Providence Road, is “minutes from Tampa” off the Brandon Parkway, at the eastern entrance to Westfield Brandon. The “sports and entertainment restaurant,” with its bevy of large-screen TV’s, bills itself as “the perfect place to watch your favorite sporting event."

“Bigger and better” is the advertisement for The Rack Sushi Bar and Billiards Lounge at 1025 West Brandon Blvd., in the west side of the Publix- and Burlngton-anchored Brandon Mall. Call: 5717225. Specials today: $12 Miller Lite Towers, noon to 7 p.m.; $5.50 burgers until 7 p.m.; and deck-party promos. Hospitality gets 50 percent off after 7 p.m.

The at 210 South Kings Ave. is offering house specials “that will surely knock you off your feet for the whole game.” To wit: eight boneless wings, angus sliders, chips and salsa, half-cuban and fries, cup of chili and a pitcher of beer, all for $25 per person. Proud Pony Lounge, at 5902 South Gornto Lake Road in Riverview, is set to offer food- and-drink specials throughout the day.
