Poll: Brandon's Food Truck Rally (Photos)
The Tasting Tampa food blog has been organizing food truck rallies from Tampa to Pinellas County, down to Bradenton as well. The movement's first foray into the Brandon market was Jan. 14.
Eager eaters braved the long lines and cool temperatures for a taste of something different at Tasting Tampa’s Brandon Food Truck Rally, held Jan. 14 at the Winthrop Pole Barn.
Under the auspices of the Tasting Tampa food blog, the event has drawn large crowds at its many locations and this was the first time the Greater Brandon market was tapped.

And it won't be the last, with quarterly rallies in the works.
"We wanted to bring heightened awareness to small businesses who are making a living selling really good food,” said Todd Sturz, of Tasting Tampa, in a . "These businesses cannot afford to build a full-scale restaurant, but they have the ability to make really great and interesting food. Food truck rallies give everyone a chance to sample a variety of cuisine.”
Tasting Tampa started organizing the food truck rallies back in September.
They started with one a month; now, it’s one a week. The food truck rallies can be found all over the area, from Tampa to Pinellas County and all the way to Bradenton.
