Teens Aspiring To Be Filmmakers: Take Action, Get Your Cameras Rolling
The Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative announces the First Annual Teen Film Festival under way with an invite to incoming middle- and senior high-school students to meet the July 31 submission deadline.

Teens aspiring to be filmmakers have a chance this summer to test and hone their skills with the first annual Teen Film Festival presented by the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative.
Hillsborough teens entering grades 6 through 12 are invited to participate and compete for prizes in several categories and for the grand prize of a $200 gift card, courtesy of the Friends of the John F. Germany Public Library.
Any genre is welcome and each film entered must be no longer than 10 minutes in length.

Prizes will be awarded for such things as Best Actor, Best Actress, Audience Choice and Best Picture.
The prizes will be announced at a red-carpet event Aug. 13.

Teens are asked to drop off their film entries at any HCPLC library location, including the Seffner/Mango Branch Library, the Brandon Regional Library and the Bloomingdale Regional Library.
The deadline for submission if 5 p.m. July 31.
